Three Moose Jaw football products will be part of the Canadian Bowl this weekend when the Regina Thunder and Westshore Rebels square off with a national championship on the line. Former Peacock Tornadoes teammates Dax Gibney and Kash Ferster will find themselves on opposite sidelines Sunday in Langford, B.C., while former Vanier Vikings safety Tucker McKechnie is also part of the Thunder organization. All three players also spent time developing through the Sask Selects program before advancing to the Canadian Junior Football League, making Sunday’s championship game a showcase of Moose Jaw and Saskatchewan football development. The Rebels earned the right to host the Canadian Bowl after an impressive playoff run. Westshore entered the BC Football Conference playoffs as the third seed before upsetting the second-seeded Okanagan Sun in the semifinals and defeating the top-seeded Langley Rams 35-28 in the BCFC championship game, with both victories coming on the road. googletag.cmd.push(function() { if($(document).width()
