LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – With Nebraska football’s blackout game falling on Halloween this year, Nebraska Athletics is sharing what fans can and cannot bring into the stadium.
Fans are welcome to wear costumes inside the stadium, but the athletic department encourages people to wear black for the game.
Costume props, including toy guns, swords, knives or other weapon-like props, are not allowed inside.
Fans who want to buy alcohol inside Memorial Stadium, at the Cornhusker Kickoff, or within the Modelo activation on the East Plaza, will be required to take off masks or face coverings. Nebraska Athletics said fans wearing face paint that prevents staff from properly identifying them will be denied service.
Nebraska Athletics invites families to bring their kids to Cornhusker Kickoff in the Hawks Center for Halloween Candy. Doors open at 3 p.m.
All other standard stadium policies remain in effect, including clear bag requirements and restrictions on outside food and beverages.
The Huskers play against the Washington Huskies in Memorial Stadium. It’s the first Halloween game in Lincoln since 1998. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
