Score one for the Beavers over the Cougars.
Oregon State football is adding an unexpected member to its 2026 recruiting class, at the expense of Pac-12 rival Washington State.
Three-star running back Tre Garrison announced his commitment to the Beavers on Sunday. Garrison had previously committed to and signed with the Cougars, but decommitted after former Washington State coach Jimmy Rogers departed for Iowa State.
Garrison stands at 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, and is rated the No. 54 running back in the country according to 247Sports’ rankings. He is also listed as the No. 32 overall player in his home state of Louisiana, where he competes for Edna Karr High School in New Orleans.
With the addition of Garrison, OSU is up to 12 players in its 2026 class, including 10 high school players who signed with the Beavers on early national signing day: wide receivers Cynai Thomas (San Francisco, CA), Jesse Legree (Baltimore, MD, Jayden Padgett (Folsom, CA). and Jameson Powell (Folsom, CA); linebackers Lance McGee (Sumner, WA) and Jeremiah Brown (San Jacinto, CA); cornerback Kai Wheaton (Allen, TX); edge rushers Adel Dorr (Issaquah, WA) and Caleb Metzner (Mobile, AL), and tight end Landon Cook (Concord, CA).
The Beavers have also secured the commitment of junior college safety prospect RJ Whitten from College of San Mateo (CA).
