The former four-star recruit is departing Corvallis after just one season.
One of Oregon State’s most promising young players is hitting the transfer portal.
Freshman quarterback Tristan Ti’a is entering the portal, he announced on Friday evening. Ti’a started the final game of the season for OSU at Washington State after an impressive performance in the second half against Tulsa.
“My time in Corvallis and within the Oregon State football program has helped shape me both on and off the field,” Ti’a wrote in his Instagram post. “I appreciate the coaches, teammates , and staff who invested in me and pushed me to be better every day.”
Ti’a was a four-star recruit in the 2025 class out of Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California. Rated the No. 21 quarterback in the country and No. 36 player in California, Ti’a committed to the Beavers over Boston College, Utah, Appalachian State and others.
He now enters the transfer portal with four seasons of eligibility remaining.
OSU is up to 24 players entering the portal with Ti’a’s departure, including starters on both sides of the ball. New head coach JaMarcus Shephard will continue to remake the Beavers’ roster in the coming weeks, as the transfer portal window remains open from Jan. 2-16.
