The Beavers are 2-8 and face another of the worst teams in FBS.
Following a disastrous home loss to previously winless Sam Houston State, Oregon State football has just two games remaining.
The first for the Beavers (2-8) is on the road at another team with one of the worst records in FBS: the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (2-7).
This one looks like a toss-up, and oddsmakers agree. Here is a quick sneak peek:

Tulsa star power
(No. 10) Baylor Hayes, QB
The redshirt freshman Hayes had two strong performances in a row for the Golden Hurricane, throwing for 547 total yards and five touchdowns (both in losses). He took a step back in a loss to FAU on Saturday, completing just 52.2% of his passes and throwing two interceptions and no touchdowns.
An improved OSU pass rush will want to get after the young Hayes with regularity. Of course, the Beavers allowed just 85 passing yards against Sam Houston and still lost, so anything is technically possible.
(21) Dominic Richardson, RB
By far Tulsa’s leader in carries with 157 this season, Richardson averages 4.4 yards per carry and did break off a 57-yard run earlier this year.
The sixth-year senior who played at both Oklahoma State and Baylor before ending up at Tulsa has plenty of experience, which could make the difference against a young and at times inconsistent Oregon State defense.
(0) Ray Coney, LB
Coney is approaching 100+ tackles on the season for Tulsa, sitting at 93 total through nine games. He is in on everything for a team that will definitely give up chunk plays on the ground.
Dropping back into coverage, Coney has two pass deflections this season as well. Someone for Gabarri Johnson to keep an eye on when he drops back, especially given the shorter passes Johnson tends to throw.
What to expect
This has all the makings of another “sickos game of the week,” so to speak. A matchup between two of the nation’s worst teams that is as unpredictable as it is unremarkable.
For Oregon State, expect another heavy diet of Anthony Hankerson has he chases another 1,000-yard season. If the offense can produce like it did against Sam Houston but actually finish in the red zone and not turn the ball over, this is an opportunity to score a lot of points.
But the gap between opportunity and execution has been wide this season for the Beavers.
