McCoy re-entered the portal last week, leaving Texas State.

Former Oregon State quarterback Gevani McCoy, after re-entering the transfer portal, has found his new destination.

McCoy, who previously transferred from OSU to Texas State in the offseason, is now headed to Temple, a source confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive on Wednesday.

McCoy played one season for the Beavers after three at Idaho. his lone season with OSU, he threw for 1,300 yards and three touchdowns, rushing for 325 yards and five touchdowns.

While McCoy won three of his first four games as a starter, a shoulder injury suffered against Colorado State led to Ben Gulbranson eventually securing the starting quarterback job.

Gulbranson left OSU after the 2024 season, while McCoy transferred to Texas State and spent the spring with the Bobcats. After spring practices, he re-entered the transfer portal to explore his options in a booming NIL market.

The details of McCoy’s NIL deal with Temple were not immediately disclosed.
