The Beavers aren’t adding size, but they’re sure adding speed.
Oregon State football is adding a small receiver with a penchant for big plays to its team via the transfer portal.
University of Texas Rio Grande Valley wideout Xayvion Noland announced his commitment to the Beavers on Monday. Noland is a redshirt sophomore with two seasons of eligibility remaining at OSU.
Listed at 5-6, 160 pounds, Noland was second team all-Southland Conference in 2025, ranking fourth in FCS and first in the conference in yards per reception at an eye-popping 22.46. His speed and elusiveness were big weapons for the Vaqueros as he caught 37 passes for 831 yards and seven touchdowns.
Originally from San Diego, Noland was a zero-star recruit coming out of high school (according to 247Sports) before starting his collegiate career at Texas State. After redshirting his first year with the soon-to-be Pac-12 school, he transferred to UTRGV ahead of the 2024 season. But 2025 was his breakout year as he parlayed that into interest from several FBS schools.
