OSU’s penultimate game is viewed as essentially a toss-up.
After one of the worst losses in program history, Oregon State football will attempt to get back on track with a road game at Tulsa.
The game is essentially a toss-up, with the Beavers (2-8) viewed as narrow favorites over the Golden Hurricane (2-7).

DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE
Oregon State’s prior two-game winning streak included allowing just 10 points per game to Lafayette and Washington State. Despite the comedy of errors in all three phases that led to a brutal loss to Sam Houston State, the OSU defense continued its season-long improvement. It was even formidable at times.
The Beavers allowed just 157 yards. They got after the quarterback. The latter wasn’t something we could previously count on watching this team in 2025.
If OSU can actually put together a complete game in the other two phases, defense seems like the least of their worries.
ROAD WOES
Oregon State hasn’t won a road game since its 21-0 victory over San Diego State in game two of last season. Tulsa is potentially the least formidable opponent the Beavers have faced on the road in that time, but there are no gimmies anymore for this team.
BACK-TO-BACK
Senior running back Anthony Hankerson is seeking back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons for the Beavers. He is sitting at 969 entering Saturday’s game, and if OSU relies on a steady diet of Hank early on like it did against Sam Houston, he could get there on the first drive alone.
