The Beavers are adding more size and length up front.
Oregon State men’s basketball is adding size and length to its frontcourt via the transfer portal.
Pittsburgh forward Jorge Diaz Graham announced his commitment to the Beavers on Tuesday. Graham, a rising senior, averaged 3.1 points per game in 29 appearances for the Panthers last season.
Originally hailing from the Canary Islands in Spain, the 6-11 stretch forward shot 47.6% from three last season. His twin brother, Guillermo, transferred to University of San Francisco after averaging just over six points per game at Pitt.
OSU could meet San Francisco twice next season in their WCC schedule, which would pit the twin brothers against each other for the first time at the collegiate level.
Since losing seven scholarship players including all five starters in the transfer portal, the Beavers have been focused on adding as much talent as possible in the spring. OSU has brought in 7-2 Coastal Carolina center Noah Amenhauser, and Australian forward Stephen Olowoniyi from Southern Indiana.
Filling out the guard spots with more scoring, playmaking and experience will be a vital next step for Wayne Tinkle and company as the offseason rolls along.
