While Oregon football is enjoying a bye this week, the Oregon State Beavers are heading south this weekend in search of their first Pac-12 road this season.
OSU is set to take on Cal in what they believe is a different type of environment than they’ve played in so far.
The Beavers have shut the music off at practice this week, opting to hear the sound of the pads colliding as they expect the game in Berkeley to be a lot quieter than their games in Reser.
Oregon State Tight End Jermaine Terry II transferred to OSU from Cal and said this week the team has to bring their own motivation.
Jake Levengood, Oregon State Offensive Lineman said, “We’re going no music out there. It’s sort of a you know a dead crowd, dead stadium over there. it’s going to be a different atmosphere, so, we’re trying to build our own — bring our own energy.”
“I wouldn’t say it’s really quiet. it’s funny because those guys have been joking about it cause you know this stadium has been rocking which has been great,” said Cal transfer, now Oregon State Tight End, Jermaine Terry II. “But to be honest, I mean, you just have to be internally motivated; that’s all it is you know. You got to find it deep within yourself you know to continue to go out there; grind, work and just play your best football and that’s really about it.”
Kick-off for the Beavers and the Golden Bears is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
