SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon State inside linebacker Easton Mascarenas-Arnold and offensive lineman Tanner Miller have both received weekly honors from the Pac-12, the conference announced on Monday.
Mascarenas-Arnold has been named the Pac-12’s Defensive Player of the Week while Miller has been selected the Offensive Lineman of the Week. Both have received their first career honors.
Mascarenas-Arnold intercepted a pass, had a sack and led Oregon State with nine tackles as the Beavers defeated then-No. 10 Utah at Reser Stadium Friday night. His interception came during the second half and was at the OSU 15 with Utah driving. The interception marked his second of the season and third of his career.
He’s now led the Beavers in tackles in four straight games and his 42 on the year lead OSU.
Miller is the second Beaver to earn Offensive Lineman of the Week honors, following Joshua Gray after the Beavers’ win over San Diego State. Miller was part of an offensive line that helped the Beavers to 131 yards on the ground, which was more than double the average allowed by the Utes coming into the game. Miller was also the Beavers’ highest graded pass blocker as rated by Pro Football Focus.
Oregon State next hits the road this week to take on California in Berkeley. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. PT and the game will air live on the Pac-12 Networks.
