Oregon State’s Jack Colletto is headed to San Francisco as the 49ers signed the senior linebacker/quarterback to an undrafted free agent deal.
Terms of the contract were not available. Colletto is the first Beaver since 2017 to land an undrafted free agent contract with the 49ers.
The 6-foot-3, 239-pound Colletto is one of the most interesting players available among this year’s rookie class. Winner of the 2022 Paul Hornung Award as college football’s most versatile player, Colletto played quarterback, linebacker, fullback and tight end at Oregon State, as well as all four special teams units.
Colletto came to Oregon State in 2018 as a junior college transfer quarterback. In 2019, Colletto moved to linebacker, but eventually played both sides of the ball, mostly on offense in a short yardage role.
Colletto played in 43 games at Oregon State, and was a two-time all-conference honoree as an all-purpose specialist. During his career, Colletto had 110 carries for 401 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also completed 25 of 50 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Colletto had 51 tackles and one interception.
