The Beavers have team scores ranging from 933 to 1000, all above the acceptable threshold
Oregon State athletics had four teams post perfect 1,000 Academic Progress Report (APR) scores for the multi-year period of 2019-22, as released Tuesday by the NCAA.
Men’s and women’s golf, women’s basketball and women’s soccer had perfect scores. Near perfect were women’s gymnastics (995) and women’s cross country (992).
The Academic Progress Report score is a rolling four-year average of each team and its athletes’ progress toward graduation. The minimum standard is 930. Teams that score below 930 are subject to penalties, which can include ineligibility for postseason competition.
Because of COVID, penalties for this year have been suspended.
Oregon State football posted a 973 score, which ranked sixth among Pac-12 schools. Men’s basketball’s score dipped to 933 because of a roster that sustained significant turnover. A year ago, OSU’s men’s basketball was 960, and had been as high as 981 two years ago.
